Learning and activities
Little Owls Osmondthorpe is a warm and friendly nursery, where staff ensure that children learn and develop in a safe and secure environment. Children’s wellbeing and confidence is at the heart of everything.
Children enjoy fun and exciting activities, such as watching chicks hatch, playing in our giant indoor sand pit and listening to stories in our specially designed reading snug. They have the freedom to play outdoors in our secure, purpose built outdoor play space where they can play in the mud kitchen, learn to ride a bike and climb the obstacle course.
We are passionate about providing high quality, interesting activities and experiences for children to raise their self-esteem and confidence. Children receive lots of praise and encouragement and build strong bonds with the people caring for them.
Supported by expert teachers, we offer the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum and make individual support plans for specific needs.
Keeping in touch
When your child joins us, they will get a key worker and a significant other, who know them well and greet you. Parents also receive regular updates on the free Tapestry app, an online journal sharing your child’s key moments and learning.
SEND support
The Little Owls Osmondthorpe team supports children with special educational needs and/or disabilities to meet their full potential. We work closely with families and professionals.

Here’s what our parents say:
“The staff are wonderful and they provide good activities for the children.”
“My son has settled so well into nursery routine and loves coming. His development has come on leaps and bounds and I believe that is down to the passion the staff have for child development. Staff are well trained and genuinely care for the children they look after.”
