Little Owls Osmondthorpe provides a warm and friendly environment for children and their families. The staff are committed to ensuring that children learn and develop in a safe and secure environment where the children’s wellbeing and confidence is at the heart of everything.
The children at Little Owls nursery enjoy fun and exciting activities on a daily basis such as watching chicks hatch, playing in our giant indoor sand pit and listening to stories in our specially designed reading snug. The children can also enjoy the freedom of playing outdoors in our fully secure, purpose built outdoor play space where they can play in the mud kitchen, learn to ride a bike and climb the obstacle course.

Little Owls at Osmondthorpe recognises that all children learn at different pace and we also recognise that some children require additional support to be able to reach their full potential. The nursery staff work with other professionals such as speech and language therapists, the Special educational Inclusion team, STARS (who support children with an autistic spectrum condition) and health visitors to provide individual support to children who need it. There is a named SENCO at the Nursery who supports the staff in implementing individual plans and interventions groups which support learning and development.
