Ofsted rated ‘Outstanding’
A friendly, supportive nursery located in Meanwood with extensive experience of working with children with SEND.
Our curriculum is planned using the Early Years Foundation Stage framework. Children’s individual learning needs are incorporated in to focused activities. We consider parents as partners in their children’s learning, and use the Tapestry online platform to record and share children’s learning experiences.
Our own cook prepares freshly cooked meals daily, which are carefully planned to meet children’s nutritional needs.
All Little Owls Little London Nursery staff are qualified to at least level 2 of a recognised early educator qualification, with the majority qualified to level 3 (or working towards qualification).
We work alongside a qualified teacher and three staff members are qualified to degree level. All staff receive continual professional development opportunities throughout the year.
The centre is accredited under the Breast Feeding Initiative and Mindmate schemes. We have strong links with the family services team and work closely with them to provide family support and learning opportunities.

“Staff provide an extensive range of well-thought out, exciting and challenging activities that inspires children and captures their interest.
“Children’s learning is monitored especially well, to assess their progress. This includes the high proportion of children who speak English as an additional language and children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND). Support for children with SEND is exceptional.
“Partnership working with other professionals is exemplary and staff are especially aware of children’s individual needs, which enables staff to promote children’s positive behaviour exceptionally well. Relationships between parents and staff are trusting, respectful and understanding. Information is shared regularly which enables parents to extend their child’s learning at home.”
