Learning and activities
At Little Owls Hunslet St Mary’s, we strive to work together with our community to inspire our children to achieve and develop. Setting solid foundations for the future of the education, through play and exploration we develop inquisitive learners.
At the heart of our nursery lies our large outdoor play space, where children are encouraged to play, learn and develop outdoors all day. With a blend of structured learning and free play, our qualified staff are at hand to ensure your child’s needs, both developmental and emotional are met.
Keeping in touch
Each child has a key person, who works with them from their first visit through to starting school, to ensure they settle in well, create secure relationships and receive the support needed to thrive. Key workers are supported by our qualified teachers and management to ensure all children reach their full potential.
We keep in touch with parents using the free Tapestry app, an online journal sharing your child’s key moments, from lunch to photos of activities and detailed observations of their learning and progress.

‘Children have access to a variety of outdoor play equipment. They enjoy playing on ride-on toys, bikes and the climbing frame. The outdoor area provides children with plenty of room for movement.
