Located next to Hunslet Library, Little Owls Hunslet Rylestone is in the centre of the community. The nursery is conveniently located near the A369 and on commuter routes into Leeds.

Learning and activities

Little Owls Hunslet Rylsestone offers a supportive environment for children, allowing them to learn and develop through play. Our highly trained staff are supported by qualified teachers offering Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum support, as well as in-house lead practitioners in subjects such as maths, language and communication.

Children also enjoy free imaginative play, spending time in our spacious gardens and sand pits throughout the day, where they can follow their needs and interests. Staff are passionate about encouraging children’s natural instinct to explore and investigate, helping develop them into confident and expressive learners.

Keeping in touch

Each child has a key worker and a significant other, who know the child well and act as the main points of contact for families. We keep in touch with parents using the free Tapestry app, an online journal sharing your child’s key moments, from lunch to photos of activities and detailed observations of their learning and progress.

SEND support

Little Owls Hunslet Rylestone also has a specialised SEND offer, with the nursery able to offer specialist support to children through our onsite SENDCO and their support worker, as well as the ability to provide further specialised support where appropriate.
