Little Owls Harehills is rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted.
We have experienced staff who are passionate about working with children.
In an area of diversity, our staff profile reflects the local community with bi-lingual staff supporting children with over 26 different languages spoken by our families.
Our lovely outdoor space provides a safe green garden in the middle of an area where green space is at a premium.
Our nursery welcomes all children including those with special education needs and disabilities. This was noted by Ofsted in our inspection.
We support children with SEND to reach their full potential. We meet their needs with Personal plans tailored to each child. We work with various agencies such as DAHIT, Stars, Physios, Child Development team and SENIT. We also have a sensory room to do quiet time and individual work with children.
Here is what Ofsted says about us:
“Staff plan challenging activities for children. Staff are deployed effectively to support children’s learning and the various languages children speak are celebrated and fully embraced.” – Ofsted
“Staff use children’s interests to plan stimulating and exciting activities. For example, they help children build snowmen out of play dough and create bubbles outside for children to jump and catch. Staff extend children’s learning during play.” – Ofsted
Children who have special educational needs and/or disabilities are very well supported. Individual time is allocated to focus on their needs and support their development. All parents are fully involved in children’s learning and both parents and staff work harmoniously with other professionals to support children’s individual needs. – Ofsted
