Little Owls City and Holbeck has a “Good” Ofsted rating
Little Owls at City and Holbeck is an inclusive nursery which is located in the Holbeck/Beeston area of the city, with good transport and access links to the city centre.
The leadership team is ambitious and has established an aspirational vision for children at the nursery.
The vision statement for Little Owls City and Holbeck was done in consultation with parents and carers:
“At Little Owls City and Holbeck, we learn, we grow, we aspire”
Staff in our under 2’s room have undertaken specific training on working with babies.
We use an interactive assessment tool and parents are able to access this and add on home learning.
We have an exciting outdoor play environment where children are supported in their learning, and this is accessed daily.
Children gain a good range of skills to support their move onto the next stage of learning, including when the time comes to start school.
The centre provides freshly cooked meals and snacks which meet individual dietary requirements.
The centre can also offer support to access Children’s Centre services including debt advice, counselling and family support.
SEN Offer
We have a named SENCO and OFSTED says, “Children who may need extra support are swiftly identified and any additional funding is used effectively to meet the child’s needs”.
We offer a range of intervention groups such as Having Fun With Language, Social Interaction and BLAST.
Here is what Ofsted says about us:
