Our friendly experienced team at Little Owls Bramley is approachable, caring, flexible, resourceful and very child focused. The nursery is located in the centre of Bramley, close to the train station and Stanningley Road.
Our learning environments are natural and stimulating places, with a wealth of open ended resources. Beautiful gardens allow children free flow access to outdoor play in all seasons.
The majority of nursery staff hold a level 3 childcare qualification or above, and all have a minimum of level 2. The staff team was nominated for the Leeds City Council Children’s Services Team Achievement award in 2018.
All staff have completed breastfeeding training for the Baby Friendly Initiative and the centre holds the Mindmate accreditation.
We work closely with Bramley Cluster who provide a range of support and groups for families.
The team at Bramley are all highly trained and experienced in supporting children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). We work with speech and language therapists, physical therapists, occupational therapists, educational and clinical psychologists, STARS team, SENIT team, Child development team and dietitians.
We can support physical disabilities, feeding needs including gastro and NG tube feeding, autism, learning difficulties and medical needs.
All our staff have completed Autism tier two and many are also specially trained in intensive interaction, communication and language, portage, visual communication and feeding including NG tube and gastro tubes.
If any additional training is needed to support a child, we will arrange this before they attend.
“Staff precisely plan engaging and enthralling activities for children’s play. They seek the views of parents and include these in children’s individual learning targets. They use this information to carefully plan interesting opportunities for children to develop their early writing and mathematical skills.”
“Children are well prepared for their next stages of learning and eventual move to school.”
“Children benefit from the well planned and stimulating indoor and outdoor areas. They eagerly explore the natural world as they investigate animals and creatures in the environment.”
