Across Leeds our 28 settings deliver more than 20% of the places required for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
Children with SEND are appropriately integrated into the nursery setting and responsively supported to reach their full potential.
Little Owls Nurseries work with health and education professionals to ensure that all the children in our care and their parents are encouraged to access support around the physical and emotional demands of raising children with SEND. Our family services and partnership with health visitors in your area can signpost to additional services and we are proud to deliver a holistic service to our children and families.
We accept all children wherever possible and our team members are well trained to spot and support emerging difficulties. We can also support you to apply for additional funding where it is needed. Although we are not a specialist service, we are recognised as one of the best providers of care for children with additional needs in Leeds.
We endeavour to maintain a balance of children with diagnosed and emerging needs and children who have no SEND in order to ensure that children with SEND enjoy a fully integrated nursery experience which supports their transition to school.
Children with SEND add a richness to the diversity of our settings and we highly value the progress that all our children make when they are with us. From mild speech delay to life-limiting illnesses we support each child with understanding and encourage them to be the best they can be.
